Two individuals were in a verbal altercation on school property.

Item # 1456, Downtown, Report # 14042470101, Sexual Assualt, Vicinity of 100 block E. Broadway, Reported 04/24/2014 @ approx 1430hrs

Thursday afternoon JCTC Campus Security were notified by Louisville Metro Police Department about a report of a sexual assault that occurred in or near the I-65 student parking lot across from the JCTC Downtown Campus in February.

 

It was reported to police by a female JCTC student on Thursday, April 24.  Police are not releasing details out of concern it might affect their investigation.  As a result we do not have information about the exact day, time or even location. Police also are withholding the student’s name.  However, the alleged perpetrator is not thought to have any connections to the college.

 

As always, the safety and security of faculty, staff, students and visitors is of primary concern, and all reports of crime are taken very seriously.   In this urban environment, people should always remain aware of their surroundings.  If there are concerns about traveling to remote lots, people may always request a security escort.

 

Campus Security will remain in contact with LMPD as the investigation unfolds and will undertake any and all necessary action or communication.

Student had her cell phone snatch out of her hand. Subject fled on foot. LMPD investigating.

Theft of laptop and other items valued at approximately $1200.00.   Subject was arrested. More subjects may be arrested pending Investigation. Disposition: Closed by Disciplinary Action.

Item#1453, Report #14042371401, Theft by Unlawful Taking under $500.00, 109 East Broadway, Louisville,Ky 40202,on 04/23/2014, between hours of 1600 and 1730 hrs.

Victim left backpack in a room unattended and when she returned it had been taken. Investigation still ongoing at this point.

Item #1452, Downtown Campus, Incident #14042370501, Criminal Mischief (Glass Breakage) over $500.00, 101 West Broadway, Louisville, KY 40202, reported 4/23/14 at 830am, occurred on 4/23/14 between 0730-830am.

It was reported that a window was broken at the Broadway building. The immediate area was fortified and cautioned off. It is not clear at this time if foul play is involved. Disposition: Open.

TWO PEOPLE WERE DISORDERLY IN ONE OF OUR BUILDINGS.  PENDING FURTHER INVESTIGATION INTO THIS MATTER.

Item #1449, Shelbyville Campus, Report #14041470401, Theft by Unlawful Taking under $500.00 (book), 1361 Frankfort Road, Shelbyville KY 40065, reported on 4/14/14 at noon, occurred on 4/14/14, between 1155am-noon.

A study book was taken, while left unattended in a room. The incident is currently under investigation. Disposition: Open.

ONE OF STUDENTS HAD THEIR VEHICLE WINDOW BROKEN OUT CAUSING DAMAGES AND THEIR WALLET WAS ALSO STOLEN. PENDING FURTHER INVESTIGATION INTO THIS MATTER. Disposition: Closed by Arrest by LMPD.

ON 3/31/14 A NON- STUDENT WAS FOUND PASS OUT IN ONE OF BATHROOM FROM A DRUG OVER DOSE.  PENDING FURTHER INVESTIGATION INTO THIS MATTER.
